![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not GASing or hating on this until I see the manual. I can't see upgrading unless the effects are seriously improved over the GT8, and they add more than just a looper. They'd have to massively overhaul the COSM modelling to interest me at this point. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The BOSS modelers are better if you really like to tinker with effects and their placement in the chain. You can do some really wild stuff with them. The huge advantage Line6 has at this point is that they have a computer-based visual editor for the X3. If Roland ever writes an editor for the GT-10, i *might* be convinced to upgrade from my GT-6. But that would also depend on whether the size increase on the GT-10 will allow it to fit in my pedal case. This space intentionally left blank. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The Boss GT series requires an unholy amount of tinkering and tweaking to get the most out of it. Once you adjust the EQ and kill all the unnecessary effects and set the levels it can sound pretty good. Mine through Kevan's Rivera was awesome. I agree Boss really needs a software editor given how powerful the GT series is. The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Without music, life would be a mistake. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | considering the new GT 10 has the Roland VG-88 DSP it is supposed to really work well. at NAMM i was talking with Rob Marcello the "one introducing the unit" and as a Die hard Gt 8 user he was amazed at it and said it is lighting fast!...and after hearing him play alot of music on it..he is right it sounds great!! maybe we need a shoot out between the two units in the future? because it will take alot to get me away from my XT live....or my fn huge pedalboard of useless doom stomperzzz.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I just can't see how you can have a shootout between the X3 and it. My money is on the GT 10 in a shootout with the XT, but the X3 is a very different unit. One of the main reasons for me going with an X3 is that it has two inputs and can process two instruments at the same time, another advantage it has is that I can plug my mics in and do vocals. If you don't need those things the GT 10 might be better as it has features for guitar that the X3 does not. |
