 | I was always under the impression you couldn't put a stop payment on a cashier's check. It's not drawn on an account, it's just bank certified cash. Apparently, however, you can. The problem is, because the funds aren't drawn on an account, when it's presented for redemption it's honored immediately. So basically, try putting a stop order on it. But given the time that appears to have elapsed, I don't think you'll have much luck. I'm guessing that people doing fradulent business on ebay don't get cashier's checks and then sit on them for a few weeks... |

| It's against Ebay policy to send stuff through Western Union. The checks been cashed so that route's out. Well there really is nothing more I can do. He never responded to our very threatening letter. There is still a chance my could be on its way and the guy got fired from work or something, but I'm pretty much convinced I got fucked over. I really was optimistic, but the reality just hit me today and I feel like shit. It's in the hands of the police right now and with my faith in the justice system I fear the worst, but I have some hope. I just need to sit back and wait for the 16th when they put out his arrest warrant. Then he can enjoy having a loose asshole and I can get my money back and try again. I've been robbed by my own so-called friends, and yet I still keep trusting people. I'm pretty damn nice, but when I'm crossed I become vindictive as hell and I don't let the littlest things go. I feel obliged to make this fucker pay for the safety and security of everyone. I'd be just as bad as him if I had just let him go and I've seen people walk away from more than what I've lost just because they were scared to fight back. |
