![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Recommend me a goody inexpensive delay pedal i'm currently looking at the ibanez DE-7 since it's cheap and my modded TS7 has given me a good reason to trust the tonelok series. Any other recommendations? thanks! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | no i've tried all of the Boss ones ibznorange mentioned (with the excetion of the DD-2), they pretty much sound the same, except each one has different features... the DD-3 and DD-6 are the only ones currently in production though. i've been using the DD-5 since it's inception...personally i think the DD-6 renders the DD-5 obsolete from a features standpoint (ie, no external footswith needed for tap tempo, even longer delays, etc...), but the DD-5 has served me well for a long time, so i see no reason to upgrade. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Think of this way. How many delay settings will you use? I'd just get a second hand one, and then sell it on if you find you really want the extra features ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'm not worried about the features. i don't need tap-tempo, and i use a fixed setting for leads between 300-500ms with few repeats so 99% of the delay pedals out there would do it for me feature-wise. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cool, well, then i reckon the only thing you really want to worry about is sound, so I'd get the cheapo ibby one as the locking buttons is a nice touch, and if it's cool, keep it, otherwise sell it and get another ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah, if you're a set it and forget it kind of player, the DD-3 or DE7 will work out fine. i don't think i could live with a digital delay with out a tap tempo function though (DD-5, DD-6). being able to change delay times on the fly mid song is a great thing. the Boss delays i've mentioned are on ebay used all the time. i think they'll be your best bet (if you want a more versatile delay that is). keep in mind if you come across a DD-5 for the right price, you WILL NEED an external footswitch (as shown in my pedalboard below) to use the tap tempo function. ![]() EDIT: never mind, just saw your post about not needing a tap tempo ![]() |
