![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Barber electronics I know alot of us are into pedals and some are into racks..I love both but lately bee using nothing but Pedals... Pigtronix,Boss,Radial engineering,Damage Control,Brunetti,electroharmonix,H.B.E., and..Barber David barber is a man who makes pedals here in Pennsylvania USA and does a great Job at keeping prices lower way lower then most pedal manufacturers in his field. He mostly makes drives of some sort wether it be OD,DS,or linear. he also makes Eq,and Fuzz. and he also makes a world reknowned Compressor called "the tone press" a masterful toy it is... I for one have never been a Overdrive T808 kinda guy but the Barber DD drive is a tool that drives adds harmonics and can clean Boost all without any color. Or turn the drive up and crank it through your clean channel... I heard from a Barber associate that he is working on a Linear Delay for 2008 we shall see... Few points of interest! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | LOL I was just going to post something about him! I played a Barber Direct Drive over and Billy's studio last week and bought one the next day. Awesome, awesome pedals! His DD is his own design too which is cool. Hard to say if I prefer it over my Bloody Murder as I haven't A/B'ed them with an amp yet but the Direct Drive does exactly what Jerich just said above: " the Barber DD drive is a tool that drives adds harmonics and can clean Boost all without any color. Or turn the drive up and crank it through your clean channel..." and in addition to that when you run it with the drive dimed through a clean amp, it has a very natural "amp-like" distortion. I was highly impressed and if Dave Barber is at NAMM this year I plan to stop by and talk with him for a bit. I want to check out some of his other pedals like his compression as I hear a lot of other guys really dig it. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | awesome ![]() I love my BM, so I doubt I'll be swaying anytime soon though . I just couldn't believe the post because i remember him telling people that Brunetti's sound too good alone to ever use an OD in front. I never use an OD for gain or anything, just a light boost to tighten things up. |

Matt forgot to inform you i do not use it really on the distorted channel of my Brunetti's sorry!!! Mmmm wait when i crank the volume down on the guitar and hit the DD it does add harmonics for slower paced interludes Season of Mourning does..so yes and no!! I do not use it for extra gain distortion over brunetti . But, on my clean channel YES it makes the amp come alive in a dirty rock type of way! add delay and or reverb and Blues central.... I still stand by NO OD should be infront of an amp. But to each thier own right! sorry matt for influencing you sooo much you had to go buy one? hahah!!! Good shit is good shit right? | |
