![]() | Marshall JCM 212 or B52 AT 112 I am getting ready to buy a new amp. I played a B52 the other day. Had never heard of them before, but saw it in the store and decided to try it out. I was really shocked at how good it sounded. It was sitting next to a Peavey Valve King and I can tell you atleast from a rock and metal standpoint, the B52 was in a whole other league then the Peavey. Anyway, the oportunity has now presented itself for me to pick up a used JCM 600 212 combo for the exact same price as a new B52 112 combo. Both amps are all tube. I have not tried the Marshall out but I suspect the B52 will have more overdrive. I will of course try it out myslef, but I was trying to get other peoples feel on this. I play mostly hard rock and metal. Thanks |

![]() ![]() | With the Marshall if you decide you don't like it you will probably be able to sell it without losing any money / small profit so it's probably worth getting then if you don't like it, grab the B52. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | buy the Marshall and a tube screamer and i guarantee you'll have a better sound than the B52 can provide. plus, the Marshall is of way higher quality as far as construction goes and will hold it's value, unlike the B52. |
