i would immediately go to get my hearing tested after something like that. cuz i am MAD concerned about damaging my hearing.

The first time I ever played a Triple was at a place called Mars Music in Olathe, Kansas. I was jamming on it and had no idea what all the knobs, switches, and buttons did. I was like, "hmmm... what's this solo knob do?" so I cranked it up ALL THE WAY... no change. Oh! I guess I have to hit the solo button on the footswitch!

That'd be kinda pointless. The hearing loss associated with this sort of thing is called a threshold shift. It's temporary and it'll pass. Once things seem back to normal (or at least stabilized and not improving anymore, may take a few days tops), then get your hearing tested.

Gotta be careful with this stuff, once your hearing is damaged, that's it.

I've had my hearing tested and its all normal, but I still have tinnitus (ringing ears), which there's no cure for.

I've done that in an arena (Northern Illinois Uni) with a 30,000 watt PA. Good thing there was no audience in there! One poor sucker was in front of the subwoofers when it went off. I swear he almost lost his pants!
