Amp recomendations: Need help
Okay...I know absolutely nothing about amps so I need your help deciding this bsed on the following info:
1)I currently have a fender frontman 15G 15W amp that serves my home practice needs, but doesn't cut it for practice with my band/friends since the drums are too loud. 2)I will be going to college soon and need something portable-ish and preferably a combo. 3)I use a digitech rp350 that does mostly all my sound needs and sounds sweet through a PA, so a PA is also an option if its in the same price range. 4)If it could have either a footswitch option, an effects loop or/and a cabinet out. 5)It has to be louder than a drum set in a confined room. So 30W and above should cut it at the very least. 6)It should be able to handle my 7 string (G standard at the lowest) and 6 string(C standard at the lowest). I don't mind a muddy sound in the lower strings as long as it's not overly muddy. Think korn at the muddiest. Price range is $500ish and has to be new. I play practically everything from meshuggah, deftones, dream theatre, slipknot, trivium, metallica, megadeth, sikth to beattles, bad company, pink floyd. I'd prefer a good clean sound since the grunge the pedal can take care of. Thanks for the advice. |
