![]() | I have a CarvinV3 and 4x12 in my apartment - and that amp really only starts to shine when its cranked. However, Id rather play through the Carvin at .1 then through a modeller with headphones - the 'feel' is there at low volumes even if the full tube fury is not. If I want to lay down scratch tracks for a song or something, Ill use GuitarRig or my Boss GS-10 - and on a rare occasion when the neighboors were gone, the V3 gets cranked and I'm in heaven. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I feel EXACTLY what Awake is saying. I've been using a Behringer V-amp pro for about 2 years and I hate using headphones. I've got a Doyle 4x12 and a Velocity 300 running without any issues. Just keep it low and the neighbors will remain happy. |

Real Name: Jon Main Seven: LTD H-307 Rig: ENGL Powerball Thanked: 7
![]() ![]() | I had my old 5150 and then a powerball thru a 212 in my apt when i first got it. 5150 sounded bad the the engl sounded pretty good. Since, the engl has gone to my bands practice space and i have a POD xt for practice in the apt. Moral of story: Engl sounds good at low volumes, but its still not feasible for an apt. |
