I'm running a 100 watt head into a 4x12, and I can play it at night no louder than a whisper, and it still sounds good. So moral of the story? ENGL kick ass! ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I play my half in my apartment. I keep it at about 0.5 and when nobody's home (in my apartment) like at 1 or a little bit more. It's loud, but you can do it. Too much blood in my alcohol system |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Depends more on the amp than the speaker cabinet. ![]() That half-stack is what I play through. The volume is always extremely low. Of course, it helps that the walls, floor and ceiling are solid concrete My building's pretty damn soundproof. And my neighbours haven't complained yet.Keep the wheels on, though, as they'll help reduce the amount of bass transfered through the floor. That way you don't have to roll off your low end, and you don't shake the lamps downstairs as much. |

I didn't get any complaints from the neighbors with mine and it still sounded great at lower volumes. The power section on an Engl works almost like a stereo instead of a Marshall-style power section where when the amp is at 9 o'clock you get plastered to the wall and the cops are knocking on your door! ![]() |

![]() | Yeah you can put it on the lowest setting where you start to hear all the frequencies and not be evicted. Never had or played an Invader but, with my Savage 2X12's and 4X12's were fine at home as is my current ENGL (SE). |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Depends on the room size, IMO. In the little room I have my PC/Guitars/Amp in, the 4-12 was overkill and would feedback with any type of volume(luckily I can turn up during daylight hours to a reasonable level). |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i lived in apartments for years with all my gear, what ya gotta do is start out really really quiet for a week, then bump it up incrementally over time and before you know it you can rock pretty loud and the neighbors might not even notice since youve trained them to ignore it. this is how everyone in my family is, i am a loud mofo and i slowly weened them off of their quite lives to the sound of ![]() |
