Mesa 50/50?

I'm thinking of bidding on this Mesa Boogie 50/50 Power Amp - eBay, Amplifiers, Musical Instruments. (end time 21-Nov-07 12:45:59 AEDST)

Are these any good?

Are they reliable? Any known problems with this model?

Would you recommend something else?

I was not going to get a power amp yet, but this looks like it might be good considering that it has the high/low power option to switch it to 15w.

I would have to ask someone to pick it up for me as it is pick-up only but I'm sure that could be arranged.

I'd snap it up in a second if I had the scratch and it were in my area.

I have a 20/20 and love it. The only issue I've ever had with mine was a blown power transformer (MESA sent me a new one and covered shipping) and a cooling fan that got noisy. I've had it for about 7-8 years now though so that ain't bad.

I love my 20/20. It helps warm up my digital modeler. I sometimes long for a bit more power however and the 50/50's are hard to come by. The 2/90 is just WAY too much power for anything I'd do.

I'd say go for it!

There are two on ebay in the states mesa 50 50, Guitar items on eBay.com

The thing is I don't know how much it is worth, I know what I can get one for in the states but I would have to factor in shipping and a transformer. This one is already 240v.

There is a new one in guitar world for $2895, going off that price I would think that a perfect second hand one would be worth $750-$1000 and this one a little less but I have no idea.
