And don't forget to make sure that you have the output set appropriately for your amp. It makes a big difference. They set the PODs up to really be able to handle any kind of amp that you'll put it through, so it automatically adjusts it EQ settings to match whatever it's plugged into (but only if you tell it what it's plugged into of course).

![]() Has that helped you at all?? I know the first time I tried hooking it up to an amp, I was blown away that all I had to do was change that one setting and it sounded a hell of alot better. I went back and tried reprogramming all of my patches and did all this other stuff. My friend was like "Why don't you just change the output option?" WHAT?!?!?!?! Why the hell didn't you say that like 3 hours ago?!?!?!?!?! ![]() |

Not to mention that when you DO use the 'stack 4x12' setting (or 'combo 2x12' setting) you can further adjust how much treble/bass you want to add or cut as well as adjust the 'focus', which is kind of like an overall tone knob. It was finally once I tweaked these parameters that I managed to get control of the low end and keep my cab from bottoming out.

I just gave it the POD Pro -> Mesa Recto Poweramp a test run at practice last night....I was a little underwhelmed..
![]() Is the POD XT Pro better sounding then the POD Pro? Should I bother with the X3 Live....I.E. is it good enough for me to look past the fact that it's not rack mountable (big deal to me) come on NLB, I wanna keep that warm and fuzzy feeling. |

Alot of people prefer the XT series over the 2.0s. I think the XT's are more dynamic and overall sound much better. Especially the high gain tones.
I've heard alot of mixed reviews about the X3. Mainly the X3 Live I've heard more negative reviews about that one over the bean. There are some issues with the effects loop. Also, alot of them have crashed after loading up XT patches. Aside from that, I've heard alot of great things about them tonewise and am dying to try one out, I just haven't had the chance yet. From what I've seen, there really haven't been many issues with the X3 beans. I'm thinking about snagging one for myself after the holidays. I have to wait and see though. |

Hmmm, I think I'll wait on the X3 series to see what Line6 has for us next year.
The overall tone of the 2.0 is okay...but it doesn't have enough cut! And it's a bit buzzy... XT ahoy! |
