Straps

do you find you have a particular strap that does it for you, that you’d even lift from guitar to guitar just because it’s the one that’s worked for years better than all others?

i’m actually trying to replace my favourite at the moment, but i’m trying to find a massively wide, zakk wylde styled doobrie but in plain black leather… can i find it? can i bollocks.

Depends on the guitar.

I have seen some really nice Planet Waves straps, I particularly like the Planet Lock.

If you are into black studded leather, though, that might not be appealing to you. I only had one black leather studded strap, but I don't remember the brand, perhaps it was Levi?

agreed. after almost dropping my Warwick 5 string numerous times because of my shitty old strap, i got a PW because i didn't want to drill into it like the other kinds would need. been using the same one for years

I have a Yamaha strap that's 3 1/2" wide attached to my 1527 via Dunlop straplock. Plain leather, so it looks good, and feels awesome.

I use rebel straps, mostly because we're an endorser and they give us lots of straps. They are very nice though, leather, and have pickholders built in.

Defiantly use straplocks, and make sure you check your straplocks.

Decipher is a jewel in the rough
I use Levy's Black Leather Straps that are very comfy and wide. And schaller straplocks to hold 'em on!

Used cliplocks for close to ten years now, and they have served me very very well

I've been using Schaller strap locks for over a year now and I love them with my 6cm wide strap. It's just wide enough so it's not digging into your shoulder. I used to use Dunlop Clip Straps, but I found they weren't quite short enough for me (chest rocker).

Levy's M7GG3 strap....3" wide, garment leather front and back, so it doesn't stick to your shoulder the way suede does (i hate suede-backed straps).

Schaller or Marvel straplocks
