Cab Question

hi there!

i'm starting the whole " wannabe in a band " process again
but this time i find myself with a mofo rack and cabs setup to haul around

i have two 1x12 mesa cab loaded with c90 and i love them
i saw a marshall cab, some obscure 2x12 which i don't know the model

i was thinking

why don't take a cheaper 2x12 cab
and load it with mofo c90 speaker?
because i find it more confortable and easier to haul
around a 2x12 than 2 1x12 ( am i mad? )

i also thought that maybe if i put both speaker in a smaller cab, i would lose some low end, but right now i'm playing with open back cabinet, and the " receiving " cab would be a closed back so i can't judge!

also the chance to use a engl 2x12 as a shell for my c90 would be lovely

just to explain better,
i could buy a mesa cab, but it would be far more expensive and
i don't like supa expensive equipment

what would you do?

why not just use 1 112 then?

jus because my poweramp is stereo and i like to use it that way
to have fun with some effects once in a while,
i know that it could be used in mono but i don't do this

as i wouldn't feel confortable doing it

A closed back 2x12 will get you more bass than two open back 1x12. Sounds like getting a stereo 2x12 would be perfect for you then.
