Amp GAS is driving me insane.

The Canuck dollar is up to $1.08 US. I'm trying to save money but I don't know how long this will last. I'm currently taking amp suggestions since I don't really know what I want since I can't try any of these out. I thought I would finally make a thread here instead of derailing everyone else's threads

Currently up for consideration:

VHT Pittbull G-100 UL
Engl Invader 100 or SE (if I can find a deal on one)
Framus Dragon (I was thinking Cobra but everyone here says it sucks in comparison)

I don't like a scooped sound. I play death and black metal. I like my mids and my highs, and want to melt the face off of people.

get the engl man. with the way the dollar is as of late, i can;t wait to go down south and get me a half or full stack for a bloody good price.

From what I've heard I think the VHT is more my thing. Also, I hear the borders are on the lookout for people smuggling shit in from the US now with the exchange rate being what it is. Maybe take a shitty half stack down with you, say you're going to jam with buddies or record or something, and ditch/sell off the shitty half stack and bring back the sexy sexy Engl goodness.

thats pretty much my same thought, but also being in the navy i don't need to do that, just bring it aboard, hide the bitch and take it home a few days after we get home, BOOYEAH.

my vote goes to the framus.
if set correctly, its a very aggressive sounding amp, but its also very mid-heavy.
i loooves my framus.

I'd go for the Engl Invader 100 just because of its crunch channel. I'm sure the lead channels are cool too.

The exchange is tempting... I was cruising eBay as usual and noticed that the $cdn price on a few items was a hundred less than the US price. HAH! Its about time. I'll have to buy something really soon.

I was considering the Framus because it's relatively cheap when you compare it to the other amps I'm looking at.
