![]() ![]() | Blackmore vs Dragon? Ok, my 5150 is soon to be on its way to a new owner. Now the thing is that i saw a pretty good deal on a Framus Dragon at a german site, for a few euros more than a Engl Blackmore. This really confuses me because i can´t decide which to get...I know the two amps may be of different character and i have heard clips of and they sound pretty good both. Damn, don´t know what to choose!? What do you think, fellow comrades? |

![]() | They're both the same type of amps, being based heavily on mids... Marshall style.... The Blackmore just seems to have this super heavy yet deep midrange that makes it... well just really brutal... Anyways I'm an Engl whore so I'm biased.... Up the shut fuck, you must. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Never played a Dragon, but I can tell you the Blackmore is a fantastic amp. Really heavy, tight and punchy sounding. And great cleans, too. Through the darkness of futures past The magician longs to see One chants out between two worlds Fire Walk With Me |

![]() ![]() | I don't think you can go wrong with either! I've played a Blackmore, though. "Goddamn!" is all I really got to say about it. It's pretty much everything I'd want, tone wise. Your ass here! |

![]() | Why sell the 5150? I personally think it is one of the most brutal sounding amps. I have never come across a live performance with bad guitar sound when played through a 5150. For some reason those fuckers really stand out in band situations. You're a Swede, don't be affraid to let it show in your guitar sound, be proud of it and keep the 5150! ![]() Kop-ik-win, munt-jij-verliest. |
