![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My first stompbox rig [56k: got batteries? ok...] L to R: Boss chorus, Boss acoustic simulator, my Behemoth DS-1, stock DS-1, DOD envelope filter, Maxon OD808, and modded wah. i think i've decided to keep the stock DS-1, as dialing it down (and the Behemoth up) gives a nice split for rhythm/lead tones. these all feed into my Sovtek and 2x12 ext, which i've been using for my gigs lately, since The 4x12 Of Trotsky is too much Soviet Madness for my cover band gig. i wouldn't say this rig is better sounding than my Nomad+G-Major, just different, and loads of fun. I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

![]() i have the overdrive cranked, and the balance about Noon, so it's more of a softer overdrive tone. the DS-1 is kinda rock'n roll, then the Behemoth DS-1 is my lead / metal tone. or, if i'm running clean through most of the song (or, through the acoustic simulator pedal, which is pretty damn cool), i can hit the Maxon for a lead tone. | |
