Bloody Murder sound bits

Hey guys,
I was bored today so I recorded a really bad sound test of my Bloody Murder. Pedal is off from 0:00 to 0:38, then on.

Using : Ibanez RG3120 + JS Moore pickups (think BKP quality handmade pickups) in the Bloody Murder then to my Toneport UX2 using the Diamondplate preset from the Metal Shop (noise gate is on, 50% threshold, 0% decay).
BM settings : level 12o'c, tone 12o'c, gain 10o'c

It sounds a bit fizzy with the BM on but I made no EQing at all, it sure sounds clearer and punchy with it on

on my tube head it's far better!

First is my Koch Studiotone 20w head in a Framus 212CS (V30) recorded with a Seinheiser e906 into my Toneport UX2 in mic preamp mode.

I dunno why but i really like the sounds you had going there (normally i'd say tahts way too much gain for my tastes, but i dunno.. had something about it).

can we get a clip of how it sounds with the pride and joy amp?

Too much gain I agree, but I wanted to use the preset as it was so people with a Line6 UX and the Metal Shop have a reference

I can't record my amp right now, I'd have to drag it to the bedroom and mic it properly (and kill the neighbors first so they won't get on my nerve).
I'll try to do that tomorrow, no promise thow...

hehe you dont have to mic it Properly - all my recordings with the JSX have been the mic hanging over the cab lol (i just need a mic stand to remedy that though).

I'm wondering how it would sound if you had a bit more low end when you engage the BM. the sound definitely got tighter and more defined, but i found it was lacking a little bit in the "thump" section for mutes

Yea it's an EQing problem, I assure you it sounds huge with the proper setup

As for micing my amp I HAVE TO let the mic hang cause I'm using a Sennheiser E906, but you have to place it well over one of the speaker, if not it sounds a bit harsh.

Sounds good, though I'd like to hear it punishing something with tubes...
