![]() ![]() ![]() | Mark IV help Hey bros! I'm super psyched atm, I ust got my MKIV yesterday with a 212 recto cab. But I have one problem, and I've had it with my previous amp (Roland Cube 30). I get a shit load of feedback, and I have no idea why. I have my amp plugged into to a surge protector with a ton of other things plugged into it. I plug the amp into a clean, newer electric line in my bathroom, without anything else plugged into it, and I still have feedback. My set up is pretty simple. Amp To guitar, no effects, nothing. Yet I still get a shit load of feedback, and playing over 2 is impossible with all this feedback. This happens wit hall my guitars, and I've tried multiple cables. Any ideas guys? |

You could have the pull bright and fat switches engaged with really high presence settings, which will make this amp feedback non-stop! Try turning the gain down and compensating by turning the drive up, which seems to reduce it somewhat. Try decreasing the high EQ a bit on the graphic EQ. My Mark IV had feedback when I got it because of old-ass tubes. Changing them helped a lot. _________________________ "Ah, she's built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro" - ZB My Soundclick Page |

Even at low volumes, if they're bad, they'll pick stuff up and continue to ring after you stop playing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | these guys are all wrong. send me the amp, and i'll give it a thorough, 5 year inspection ![]() * Leon is joking, they're on the money on the tube issue. I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you've dimed the gain and your pickups are shit then that could be your problem. ![]() Other than that, have you tried running with a noise gate? What does that do to the sound? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tubes. Wouldn't hurt to post your settings even though that's a lot of numbers to post. My tubes are fresh and I use EMGs, the Bodenhamer modded TS-9, and LOTS of gain, and I don't get the kind of feedback you're talking about.
