I would definetly say SE, but I've not got my grubby mitts on an Invader yet.

encasedmetal is a jewel in the rough
ENGL comparison

THe Invader 100 is better than the 150, but the mids are so awesomely chimey and the lead is the best engl beside the SE. THe savage is not very focused sounding and seems to be far less aggresive for extreme metal types. This is not just my opinion either. THe powerball is the specifally metal amp of the line, and also carries the most low end sound of the group. THe fireball is almost the same as the powerball, just 60 watts less, scar symmetry plays them. All around-Invader 100 or SE. Less options, just brutality- powerball or fireball. This may be my opinion, and others may gets mad, but the savage and blackmore- as far as ENGLs go just ain't cuttin it- I'm endorsed and got my pick, so I got the invader 100 for lead, and the powerball for brutal metal tone.
