![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Which ENGL Combo to get? As I said to Drew recently, I'm putting the 5000+ dream in a storage box for later use, and just getting another combo amp. Equipment: Engl Amps What a rip, though, 600+ and I coulda gotten a PB (but another 600 for a cab..) so I guess it's worth it until the upgrade. Anyone got a good one or a recommendation? |

![]() | Well the Sovereign owns all the other Engl combos and several of the Engl heads imo. I've got one of edition right before the current ones(mine is E360 the current productions are E365) and it's a killer. Gainwise it's more like a blackmore(meaning not as insane as a PB) but it's got some of the best cleans out there and super flexibility because of the double eq and all that stuff. They are way woth their pricetag the question is if you want a 100W combo or even need it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, I normally have to keep my Roland Cube 60 under a 4 (2 is generally accepted) but at my friend's house we crank that baby up. 6 ish. So around the house a 50W is MORE than enough. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sovereign kill em all IMO but the cheaper Screamer is really good too. I would own a screamer myself if i hadn't got a deal on my sovereign+Z-10 footswitch and roadcase for less than a new screamer. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Feel like giving me a deal, haha. Small bump, see if anyone can shed light on the Thunder combo. Last edited by Xtremevillan; 09-30-2007 at 08:54 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've only played the Screamer combo. It was good, but it was voiced too bright for my tastes. I played a Blackmore after that, and it was way better than the Screamer. I played both with a full band. Both cut fine, but the Blackmore just sounded a gazillion times better.
