So, I tested the Soldano Avenger...
And I really wasn't all that impressed with it. It sounded nice, but my Fireball sounded better. So, I think that puts that bit of GAS in the ground. I think I'll be onward and upward to a higher end Engl eventually, but definetly no Soldano.

The only thing that would have me GASing more than a Fireball would be a 100W Fireball with an addtional lead channel.

Yeah, a lead channel on the Fireball would be truly awesome, but I've made up my mind that I'm going to get an Invader or SE.

What did you play it through? It is basically ch2 from a DualRec, so it doesn't sound all that good with V30s. Like I said, my main problem with it was the complete lack of versatility.

They just had some Marshall cabs, the guy wasn't even able to tell me what speakers were in it.
Either way, I will be going for something a lot more versatile later on.

Ah, there is your problem. It was probably a JCM900, which is a particle board piece of shit. You won't get any low end from one of those. Either way, you definitely need more channels. Soldanos are studio queens IMHO.
