Distortion + Chorus ?
Does Chuck useing chorus in the begining of the solo at 1:20?
Can somebody show me other solos or stuff where the guitarist uses chorus with distrotion? Does it matter that I plug the chorus after or infront an overdriven amp? Thanks in advance! |

for any modular effect (reverb, delay, chorus, etc) you'll want to put the distortion BEFORE the effect. just remember, you want to effect your distortion, not distort your effect

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

Chuck used a lot of chorus/flange, so, even though I can't see the clip, I'd say yes.

Not always true, though - there are times where you sometimes want the effect to change the way the amp distorts. A wide Univibe-like chorus in front of a lightly driven cranked up amp can sound pretty wicked, as the chorus pushes the amp in and out of saturation.

And if I have a little combo that doesn't have an effect loop then what sould I do? Buy a distortion pedal and put the first in the chain?
