That doesn't bother me a bit, I think the Rev1 is a good amp... but not as good as a recto! Nergal's recto tone was at the top of my list of best tones ever! THAT'S what bothers me! The loss of the recto!

Don't get too carried away Nergals rectos are modded by some mystery guy in Poland. They're not stock! BUT, with a modded metal zone ran as a clean boost in front of mine I got REALLY close to his tone! Metal Zone + Recto =

Cannibal Corpse "KILL" was recorded with this setup and their amps are stock. That album has THE best recto tone I've ever heard!

What kind of mod could it have been? What mod resembles the use of a clean boost? I wouldn't like to use additional pedals with my amp, for some reason I just can't, it feels wrong... kinda cheap

I am now downloading ''kill'' from cannibal corpse, I really don't like cannibal corpse but I have become very curious about that tone u mentioned.

Ever listened to vesania - god the lux album? Behemoth's bass player, sings and plays guitar in vesania... the song god the lux is a perfect example of their guitar sound, I love it!

Can't wait to get my hands on a recto soon, to bad there aren't that many recto's over here that are sold 2nd hand, I'll have to be patient I guess.... not something I am good at

Powerballs to me always sounded like a Recto but boosted, tbh I'm surprised you ain't been able to nail Behemoth with the ENGL...

(not a criticism, I haven't had long enough to play with a p'ball to really find out what they can do)
