If anybody can make any rig sound metal it's Nergal!!! I loved his recto tones though! Well, I'm going to see them in 2 days... Will report! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That doesn't bother me a bit, I think the Rev1 is a good amp... but not as good as a recto! Nergal's recto tone was at the top of my list of best tones ever! THAT'S what bothers me! The loss of the recto! |

![]() | Behemoth's Demigod tone is THE tone I am looking for, that tone is making me want a recto SO BAD! Kop-ik-win, munt-jij-verliest. |

Nergals rectos are modded by some mystery guy in Poland. They're not stock! BUT, with a modded metal zone ran as a clean boost in front of mine I got REALLY close to his tone! Metal Zone + Recto = ![]() Cannibal Corpse "KILL" was recorded with this setup and their amps are stock. That album has THE best recto tone I've ever heard! | |

![]() | What kind of mod could it have been? What mod resembles the use of a clean boost? I wouldn't like to use additional pedals with my amp, for some reason I just can't, it feels wrong... kinda cheap I am now downloading ''kill'' from cannibal corpse, I really don't like cannibal corpse but I have become very curious about that tone u mentioned. Ever listened to vesania - god the lux album? Behemoth's bass player, sings and plays guitar in vesania... the song god the lux is a perfect example of their guitar sound, I love it! Can't wait to get my hands on a recto soon, to bad there aren't that many recto's over here that are sold 2nd hand, I'll have to be patient I guess.... not something I am good at ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Powerballs to me always sounded like a Recto but boosted, tbh I'm surprised you ain't been able to nail Behemoth with the ENGL... (not a criticism, I haven't had long enough to play with a p'ball to really find out what they can do) |
