![]() | Short Mark IV Clip Other than a couple clams, and my complete lack of recording skill, what do you guys think of this clip? Boosted Mark IV lead channel, 4 tracks, 2 hard panned, 2 at 80% left and right. Backing track was the original song turned way down with the kick drum boosted, since I couldn't find a good backing track for it. This is pretty much the tone in my head, and I'm glad to have gotten it down, plus I think it shows that a Mark IV can do a pretty mean rhythmn tone. Be honest, I can take it. Whole chain: Gibson Les Paul Custom with 500T in the bridge > Maxon OD808 > Mark IV > Genz-Benz Gflex 2x12 > e609 > Firepod > Sonar. Plus my Replifex doing some delay for the lead over the chorus. I usually throw on a set of headphones and jam some chords moving the mic until the tone in the phones is the same as the tone im front of me. Then some EQ can fix the small differences. I was curious about that E609 anywhoooos. The Mark IV has more balls than i thought it would, of course im sure the boost had a lot to do with that. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Honestly I have never noticed a boost making even the slightest difference with my Mark IV.. I've got a Maxon OD808 that has been sitting in my drawer forever because it just doesn't seem to make even the tinest difference. _________________________ "I am so omniscient, if there was to be two omnisciences, I would be both!" - ZTO My Soundclick Page |
