Two questions about the Phil Collen module:

1) Do I have to play shirtless to get the best tone out of it?
2) Will it make Joe Elliot sing in key again?

It would be funny if one of [hammet's] modules was a lead tone with an autowah :p

Good to hear the MTS getting some promo though.

LOL, Well we'll see. I always liked the concept.

Trust your ears.

I can understand Kirk Hammett, I mean I don't want his tone but I can understand why someone would want it. But who's really shooting for that Phil Collen tone?

So apparently Kirk has left Mesa huh?

The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music.

Phil Collen? Kirk Hammett? Thumbs down. The guitar was never the best part of Def Leppard, and Metallica's tone has been surpassed IMO.

Well, as far as I know he was never really with Mesa, using anything and everything he likes.

That's how I always understood it too. They always just used anything they liked at that particular time. Both in the studio and live I believe. Even the guitars they use being mostly ESP, they still use Gibsons occasionally too.

I wouldn't want either Kirk or Phil's tone myself personally, but I suppose it would be interesting to hear what they sound like.

I think Def Leppard's guitar work has always been stellar, it's just too low in the mix to appreciate. The tone as well for that matter.

Man, the best thing about def leppard I always thought was Steve Clarke.

The guitar work on def leppard stuff is actually quite interesting a lot of the time!

I would be fun to bust out some "High N Dry" riffs with his tone!
