Cheap cab/poweramp combo?
Alright, well first, this is my first post on this forum so don;'t be too hard on me. Anyways, I'm currently running my Podxt through my computer's line-in jack, with the sound coming out of the speakers, and recording with USB. I was wondering if there are any cheap (100-300) power amps, and cheap cabinets (1x8, preferrably) that are quality. Thanks in advance for those who decide to help.

A Powerblock is probably the best bet at your pricerange, or a Rocktron Velocity 120. That one's stereo, but bridgable. Both are good clean solid state amps that sound about the same at any volume.
I'd hunt down a used Marshall 1x12 or similar. |

Why not get an active PA monitor? I heard about lots of people using them with modelers, and are happy with their tone.

Just get a set of powered monitors and plug straight into them.
It's a pod, so it's already doing cabinet and speaker emulation. What you want is something transparent. -W |
