Just tried the ultra channel with the TS7, and with the gain rolled way back it is very cool, just thickens it up Works nicely on the crunch as well

good news everyone, i got it! . the crunch channel still has a tad bit more body, but thats because there's less gain - i dont want a perfect clone, so i like where im at.

here's the settings:
ultra:
treble: 6
mids: 5
bass: 8
volume: anywhere
gain: 3
FAT: off

crunch
treble: 6
mids: 4
bass: 6.5
volume: wherever
gain: 9, 10, around there
FAT: off

resonance: 2
presence: 0
master: usually stays around 2, unless nobody's home (including the cat)

i am digging the two drive channel action! crunch is more LoG (you dont hear any hiss/white noise on a palm mute like you would with higher gain), and the ultra channel has a touch of that for added chunk.

Try running the master at around 7-8 and using the channel volumes to set the preferred volume level. I have heard this can fatten up the XXX and JSX nicely.

i own zero pedals lol, no boost (yet).

also, i just turned up the resonance back to 8 and the presence to 2. she's beefier now (recording wise, the resonance that low it just had too much crunch and not enough oomph)

Try a TS type pedal (like 7DT) or an SD-1 in front. It's like secks.
