Steve Vai was the guy who designed the Legacy, and he's world-renowned. Youtube him, google him, something.

Edit: I just noticed the Nevermore lyrics from Engines of Hate in your siggy.

First of all, Nevermore fucking owns.

Second, the legacy might not be for you if you want Nevermore tone, i'm assuming you play some of their stuff.

Ahh, I think I know who Steve Vai is?
the cab (that I just won on Ebay BTW) is loaded with V30's, thats what I 'm interested in a, 4X12 with V30's. My Marshall cab (greenbacks) sounds great for everything but the 7 string stuff. The low res off of the B string causes
too early a breakup with those 25 watt speakers.
so I'll match this cab up with my B-52 (which is voiced like a poor mans Dual recto (mid deficient) and I should be in business.
it should sound pretty good with my 5150 too.
I got it cheap enough, no biggie.

If you made the decision by yourself that you wanted a 4x12 with V30's, then you will be well pleased with the Carvin. Carvin makes great stuff, at a pretty reasonable price.

Oh, and i interpreted you wrong, sorry. (about the SV thing)

The woods and construction make just as big a difference as the speakers themselves. V30s are great cabs, but to my ears, there's just something that the Legacy cab lacks that other cabs like the 1960A, Bogner, even the Ibanez Thermion Cab have... the deep, real powerful tones. The Legacy cab has great definition and clarity, but little punch and less depth than these other cabs. If all you're planning on doing is leads, it will probably suit you well. But I wouldn't expect much of it in the palm-muting department.

Hope you like it better than I did.
