I feel obligated to check it out, but it sounds like tonally they may have taken the change they made going from the 800/900 to the 2000, and taken it a few steps further. More scooped, "harder," more contemporary, and very edgy. Thing is, that's not why people buy marshalls.

Marshall needs to get back to the sounds that made them legendary. People want JCM 800, Plexis and Super Leads. Marshall had it nailed a quater of a century ago. Then for some reason they got dumb and decided they needed to make changes.

Name a Gibson solid body guitar still in production that was developed after the Les Paul, Explorer, and Flying V lines.

hmm, well the LP was developed first then the SG, then sometime later the V came along with the Futura and Gumby, the Explorer came after all of those...

They made the RD after them...oh those are badass, but yeah they stopped making them I don't remember when they made the Firebird
