Dunlop Strings

And one tried the new Dunlop strings? Im always looking for new strings to check out. I have pretty acidic sweat even tho I wash my hands alot and use string cleaners and whatnot, and still I usually kill a set of strings within a week or less!

Have you tried Elixirs?

I'm sorry, I assumed they were coated, if you were asking about them due to acidic sweat.

Honestly, while I can understand why someone might dislike their Polywebs, their Nanoweb strings are virtually indistinguishable from untreated strings in tone and feel. If you're worried about your sweat eating through strings, they're the first thing I'd recommend. I swear by 'em.

The dunlops are really decent strings. We're endorsed by dunlop and have had the strings around for about 5 months now.

They're nice in the fact that they're pre-stretched, so you can literally put them on, tune up, and they stay in tune. I didn't believe it but it worked.

They do have some kind of wierd coating, not like plastic like Elixers, but almost like an oil they dip them in. My skin has a bit of issues with it, but it's not a huge deal.

I actually like elixers better on my 7s, only because I hate changing strings on floyds, but I do use the dunlops on my strats.

I was advised to try them out about 8 months ago by a guy in a guitar shop. I still haven't, but I heard good things.
