I think they've been doing this for a while. I'm not sure if it's because Warmoth is done with sevens, which I've heard some speculation about that, or if it's due to Anderson restructuring and not wanting to do the pickups just for Warmoth.

I haven't played them, but the sense I've gotten is it's probaby better than Dimarzio's, but still isn't terribly "vintage" sounding, with the ceramic magnet. If a hard, modern-voiced singlecoil sounds like your thing, then yes.

I haven't installed mine yet, and probably won't get around to it until i've made my replacement pickguard.
I'll also be replacing the ceramic magnets with Alnico V, so i'll likely get more of that "vintage" tone. Oh, and their humbuckers are sold out. I *just* missed the last one. ![]() |
