The Rx Elite will become famous soon enough
Lead & Rhythm EQ

Speaking in low, mid, high, how do most of you EQ your lead sound?

And playing live, without using a processor and 1 amp, how could I change the 2 on the fly (ie: stompbox eq)

I'm the only guitarist in my band, and I use a lot of mids in my rhythm sound, so I've never found the need for a separate patch for leads when playing live. Though sometimes I kick on the wah since that adds a bit of a boost and helps it cut through more.

Just EQ it so it sounds good to you. And if you want a lead boost there's two ways:

volume boost - use an OD pedal with the gain way down and the volume up, or some kind of volume boost pedal

EQ boost - use a graphic EQ pedal to boost the volume and EQ to how you want your lead sound to be

I've heard both done and they both work great.

I second the idea on EQ pedal it's like getting a two in one, eliminates the need for a boost pedal since it has a level boost slider, and also allows you to dail in a different lead tone if you so desire.

Joe_Fletcher is on a distinguished road
When I want a little boost for leads and stuff, I use a cheap Ibanez Tubescreamer (TS5 I think).
