Recommend me a cab!

Hey!

I'm in the market for a new cabinet. I've used this crappy Valvestate series Marshall cab for years now and it's definitely the weak link in my live chain. So. I've decided to sell the Marshall cab get me a "new" used one.

Since I've not much experience with cabs I'm going to aks for suggestions! I want to shelve out around 500 euros (for a used cab). Here's a list of what I would like to hear from a cab:

-balanced overal sound, not too boomy/bassy, midsy, trebly or scooped

-it has to do great lush clean sounds and brutal metal distortions

-lots of definition, really important to me! has to be tight!

-highs must be present but absolutely not harsh

Thnx!!

Since you're in Europe I say go for an ENGL or move to the USA and buy a Vader!

Vader are distributed in Europe, now. But the tag price is a bit high for his budget.

I'd ask Adam if this website is certified, though. I am a wee doubtful.

Aah forgot, my rig is most of the time: 6 or 7 string guitar > PODxt > Mesa fifty/fifty > cab

For the price, I think you should try to find something used. The Engl XXL 4*12 is brutal, yet ultra tight. I only played through it at a thrash festival and couldn't really test it's clean capabilities. The Vader cab is also exactly what you are searching for, but finding one used in Europe is nearly impossible. Otherwise, it would already be mine.

Orange cabs are the best I've ever played. Plus, they're friggin orange. Bright, citrusy, orange. Nothing is more metal.
