Downsizing my Rig(possibly)

so i have my Powerball together with two matching 4x12 Engl Pro cabs(V30s) and i have my Sovereign combo(100W 1x12).
Atm i don't really use the PB since i play in two bands and none of them has a need for that tehnical processed PB sound.
I play bass in one band and in the other band i use my Sovereign since it sound way more natural and open in comparison and i like that more for the technical folk/viking/pagan black/death metal we play(i know the description is kinda weird but we have lots of influences and directions).
So i now think of downsizing a little:
1.selling the PB and one of the cabs(i have a friend who wants to buy one badly and would pick it up if i sold it)
2. keep the second 4x12 and get a 1x12 Engl(giving me a sovereign 2x12 mini stack for gigs). If i play bigger venues i can still use the 4x12 hooked up to the sovereign.
3.If i have need for the PB sound use a boost(the sovereign doesn't have as much gain and is not 100% as tight) and maybe an EQ pedal(to compensate for the depth boost and focused/open mid switches the S doesn't have).

This would imo be a rather flexible setup for all sizes of venues and it would have a great range of tones. The Sovreign beats the PB on all channels except for the typical PB sound(obviously) so i think keeping an expensive amp just for one channel is kind of a waste.

So guys, am i a madman for considering reorganizing my rig like that or do you think this could work?

I say sell one of the Engl cabs and keep the Powerball, the Sovereign can't replace it.
