![]() ![]() ![]() | To all powerball users I was recently looking at a powerball. I was wondering if some of you ENGL guys could tell me how to tell the V1 from the V2 ? Maybe by the serial number or something cosmetic. Your help would be very appreciated. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry I guess I didn't make myself clear. How can you tell if it is a V1 or V2. I have a chance to buy one and the seller doesn't know which it is. I would like to know how I can find out. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think you might be able to tell by looking on the back of the amp for a 'V2' sign. I'm not too sure on that "Thank you boob lady!" - Homer Simpson, the Simpsons Movie |

![]() ![]() ![]() | My bandmate has a V1 and the LED's behind the tubes are white, as opposed to the red ones in my V2. I don't know if that's correct across the board, though! |

![]() ![]() | I think that's just cos the red has worn/melted off or something. I've seen a few Powerballs with more white than red coloured LEDs |

![]() | The main differences are the noise gate and the treble knob. You'll have to turn the treble knob on the V2 past 3 o'clock to make it sound like V1. (This allows more mids to stand out). The only way to know if it's a V1 or V2 is the serial. V2:s are 218233 and up. (They changed the logo on the front but there are V1's and 2's with the same logo). |
