I too am thinking of picking up the Roland Cube 30W for $150 - the effects are my only question. Especially that acoustic simulation.

I know a guy with a Cube 60, it sounds great. They are the neatest sounding like practice amp I have ever personally heard. They also have a lot of a gain, but its not like really buzzsaw sounding Line 6 Insane setting gain, its actually pretty decent. The Rectifier tone on the amp (R-Fier they call it) is pretty good.

I've got a Cube 30, but I've played just about every "practice" amp there is. Take either the Cube 60, or a Vox Valvetronix. Cube might be better for you, since I like the gain better.
