Boss GT-8 and Mesa Recto channel switching conundrum

Here's my situation, I'd like to minimize dancing the jig trying to switch between something like a clean channel on my Recto with effects on my Boss GT-8 to the Channel 2 with gain on my Recto with no effects (or another patch with milder effects) on my GT-8. Obviously at this point I've been trying to switch two pedals at once. I won't even get into using the ISP Decimator pedal (me thinks I may need the rack version as the pedal can't handle both clean and distorted the way I have it hooked up).

So, I was looking at the GT-8's AMP CTL function. Tried it out on my triple rec and it does not work, makes the amp buzz like it's getting ready to blow. So, does anyone here have any suggestions and is it in any way possible to use a GT-8 to change a Mesa Triple Recto's channels?? Thanks.

Bossgtcentral is awesome site for questions like these... I believe you could use the 4 cable method.... I'm not sure tho... It's all further explained in details on the bossgtcentral forums...

Up the shut fuck, you must.

Yeah, I'm familiar with that site though to be honest I haven't checked there yet. I kinda figured maybe there would be some here that have a GT-8 and a Mesa that might be able to respond. Tomorrow I will revisit bosstgtcentral and check it for info.
