Me too!!! And my tone was so much heavier than my buddy playing his single coil Squire through a 15 watt Fender Champ with a DOD Death Metal pedal. I am the mask you wear.

![]() ![]() ![]() | WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think he shouldnt return the Vetta! He'll be much better of selling it to me for 100 bucks or something!!! ![]() seriously: doesnt Line6 sell some of their stuff with those things called "m a n u a l s" actually? I think I've heard someone say they actually have those.... ah well, its probably a custom-order-only thing... ![]() if I ever want to get an amp for one sound only I'll seriously consider a Vetta now! ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That's a hilarious review. I have a V-ampire, but I bought it because it was super cheap. It got the job done until I bought the GNX3000. Since then, I haven't even touched the V-ampire. I agree with the sentiment that people should be forced to play on crappy equipment until they figure out how to get it to work right and sound right. My parents never bought me any gear... All my guitars, amps, pedals, etc. were bought by myself. Lucky stupid bastard...Quote:
I used to suck good tone out of my crappy guitar and 10W crappy amp when I was in high school. It took a lot of effort to get that to sound somewhat decent, but then the amp broke and it sounded like shit, so I ended up borrowing my uncle's 50W tube amp which sounded sweet and I got a new guitar that sounded a hell of a lot better. I used that amp until I could buy a 100W solid state which sounded pretty good and I tried tons of different pedals through it and tons of different EQs until I found out the kind of sounds I love. Then, of course, I got a better guitar. And the process kept going.I now think that I get godly perfect tone through my 1527 and GNX3000. I really honestly can't think of any way to improve my tone. Of course, there is personal preference and people will hear my tone and say "There's too much treble" or "There's not enough treble" depending on the tone you like. I think it sounds AWWWWWWESOOMMEEE!!! CRAAYZAY!

Heh +1 on both accounts! I bought all the gear I own today myself (well, actually my used Singlecut was a present from the g/f, but I paid for all the upgrades) and it almost pisses me off when kids brag about what mommy and daddy bought them this week from guitar center. The funny thing is I have played through all sorts of expensive and inexpensive amps, boutique and off the shelf stuff, and honestly I'm REALLY digging the GNX3000. I'm glad I joined up here or I never would have heard about it! Thanks guys! My tone thanks you too! ![]() EDIT: Also goes to show you, don't take your guitar/amp reviews from ANYTHING on one of those websites... it's most likely some like 13-year old writing them! "Hell yeah the Vetta sucks...." - little, fat prepubescant 13 year old kid.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think my parents bought my first guitar and amp. And my dad's loaned me money to get other equipment, but I had to pay it back. I think you have a much greater appreciation for things that you had to work for. That's why you take better care of your equipment and really work to make it sound great. ALthough I still love that Strat that my folks bought me. I baby that thing like there's no tomorrow, but it needs to be refretted now. ![]() |
