Pod hd pro vs eleven rack
okay, I have been all set for a pod hd pro until I read about the eleven rack. I can't find any comparison video or anything.
has anyone got any experience with both? I like that the eleven rack has compatibility with pro tools, however I love my pod xt pro and apparently the hd pro is a HUGE improvement so that would be cool. I'm after a very articulate high gain tone that is good for big chords (like haunted shores) but also (dare I say it?) djenty for 7 and 8 string stuff. I would use it live and for recording which one would you get? anyone got any comparison clips or anything? |

Ive seen more bands use a POD HD Pro on albums than an Eleven Rack. Ive personally tried out the eleven rack and couldn't cope with it very well. My personal view would be to go for the HD Pro for the djent sounds as well. For instance, I believe both Hacktivist and the new Vildhjarta (correct me if I'm wrong) used one.

If you're familiar with the line 6 products, I say stick with the pod hd. So many people getting amazing tones out of it.

isn't the eleven rack supposed to FEEL a lot nicer to play through than the pod hd pro?
apparently, the eleven rack is similar to an axefx in feel and tone, is this true? |

I use 11r and I love it to bits, but Line 6 isn't my thing so I guess my opinion is kinda biased.I used Pod products for awhile and thought they were very thin sounding.11R sounds huge and has a nice tone to it I think, but the effects in 11r suck really hard I must say.

I have not played the 11R. However, I think it does say something that metal players seem to be using the Axe-FX or POD HD. The fanbase for the 11R seems to be classic rock guys...

I just got rid of my ultra and got a 11R instead. I play metal and first impressions are really good. Glad I made the switch , didn't need all the fancy fx , routing , dual amps. Just plain good solid tones and easy tweaking without getting lost in billions of parameters. Haven't took it to rehearsal so maybe my first impression is wrong. Anyway I think the 11R is still one hell of a piece of gear ...
This clip really fed my hunger for an 11R Raf |

As said above...
If you love your xt pro, get the pod hd. Same thing, just improved. Make a rule where, who ever messes up gets punched in the face. That is how I run my solo project. - Floppystrings Search this site by going to Google and adding site:sevenstring.org after your search word! |

Congratz man, I'm sure you will enjoy. I plugged my friend's shitty Squier tele with stock pups into my HD Pro last night and it sounded HUGE.
I'm not sure if you've seen this link dropped around here before, but here's the "bible" for the HD series MeAmBobbo PodHD Tone Guide - Contents Would love to hear some recordings from you in the future! |
