Bass Pod Pro or Bass Pod XT Pro for DI?
Im trying to track down one of these units to use for DI Bass (straight to FOH).
The reasons for these: 1. Models and FX in one package. 2. 2u is big enough so no X3's. 3. Im confident with Line 6 stuff, heard some nice tones from the Bass Pods. I know I could get a XT Pro (guitar) easier but I would have to make sure it has the Bass Expansion pack. Besides, Black will match my HD Pro .I haven't completely ruled out the X3 as its newer, has expansion pack and has dual amp capabilities. Just trying to keep size down. Im struggling enough to get the HD POD Pro so getting 2 (one for bass) will be a battle. Also, I havent heard many demos of bass tones from the HD. Any advice? Make a rule where, who ever messes up gets punched in the face. That is how I run my solo project. - Floppystrings Search this site by going to Google and adding site:sevenstring.org after your search word! |

I'm also curious about this. And what about the Behringer Bass V-amp?

I've thought about this too...
the regular XT will have guitar models which is nice... but the bass pod will most likely be cheaper... |

They are getting harder to find. Do the still do the expansion packs or have they stopped?
Ideally, the bass pods would be best mainly because of the dedicated front controls. Although, the dual amp function on the X3 would give extreme amounts of options of running bass amp and guitar amp at the same time. Hmmmm... Well, you could do what MF kitten does if you already have an HD pro. Mix the signal from the bass amp sim and the treadplate for super grind.

I would do something like that, for recording. This will be for live, DI, to the board. I will be using the HD and the bass player will use the XT/X3.

I did the same with my X3... actually I still do with Pod Farm; big bottom for grind / high end but I mix in the sansamp VST for the low end in my recordings...
Not sure what I'm gonna do live yet though; the singer has an SVT tube head I can borrow in the mean time though

I should also add that Im going to be doing a Cybermetal/Industrial type of project.
If that helps at all... Make a rule where, who ever messes up gets punched in the face. That is how I run my solo project. - Floppystrings Search this site by going to Google and adding site:sevenstring.org after your search word! |

I just tried to sell this but got no bids
Line 6 Pod xt pro with all model packs | eBay Its got the bass expansion plus all the guitar packs on it. I could get rid of it for $200 if you're interested, PM me. The sanctity of this place has been fouled. |

Bass POD XT Pro has some extra features like separate compressor knob, DI signal blender so you can pass through some of the clean signal besides modeling signal and EQ is really nice 6 band parametric.
Dont know what you get with bass extension pack for guitar POD XT Pro, but bass XT Pro have some nice amps and cabs and you can chose between 4 mics. We use it for distorted sound and it sounds like this https://dl.dropbox.com/u/20002604/BA...test_SR505.mp3 But there are some nice presets already there. Behringer Bass V-amp we also had. Its not that bad really. It is actually made for bass and guitar. Little harder to handle though. We recorded our album through it. |
