Recommend me a delay/looper!
So I've been looking for a combination delay and looper, as I can't really justify having one or the other.
Yesterday, I bought myself a TC Flashback. I was completely in love with it... for about forty minutes. After that forty minutes, I found out that the effects volume on the looper not only controls the loop volume, but your whole signal volume as well! Thus rendering the looper pretty much useless. So that's going back. Are there any other good ones out there? Boss DD7? Line6 DL4? Hit me with that sweet advice!!! Johnbo G. Coolness |

This is a great looper/delay/dtape echo for the $. The guitarist from Russian Circles uses this particular pedal and he's a looping mf'r.

Gee... if you're considering going with the DL-4, why not look into a used M9?
If you don't care enough to research your own question, why should anyone else care more? "Pay no attention to his long winded posts... (Explorer) seldomly knows what he's talking about." Adam Of Angels "Actual knowledge and a google bookmark are very different things." Anonymous neg-repper |

OP, the Vox DelayLab might suit your needs as well - it's a combo delay/looper on the same model as the L6 DL-4, but much newer and apparently pretty feature-packed, without being quite so powerful (and expensive) as the Eventide. The eventide is admittedly too expensive, and the m9 has a lot of features I'd never use. I'm a recovered tweaker (sold my axe-fx last year), so I really just try to run a guitar->overdrive (which rarely gets turned on)-> tube amp whenever I can. The delay is kind of a novelty. Quote:
