Seriously man, I'm not english speaking as first language, I can't understand half of your sentence...
athawulf and ConnorGilks like this.

"Solid-state - A component that has been specifically designed to make a guitar amplifier sound bad. Compared to tubes, these devices can have a very long lifespan, which guarantees that your amplifier will retain it's thin, lifeless, and buzzy sound for a long time to come."

Are you asking for a decent solid state amp to go with a Dime D100? Isn't the D100 a solid state head? Not trying to flame or anything. Just not sure I understand what your asking for

Sell it and get another Randall, IMO.
The T2, V2, RH150G3+, RH300G3+, V-Max, Titan, Cyclone, or Warhead.

Or get the D100's older brother: The RG100ES, RG100HT, or go overkill and find yourself an old Century 200.

Go out and DEMO!

At the end of the day, who cares what I think, or he thinks, or they think... It has to sound good to YOU. Just sayin...

There's more amps out there to check out than ever before. Don't sell yourself short.

I have to disagree with this. There aren't many great SS amps out there anymore. A lot of the best ones were discontinued a few years ago, and he'll be hard pressed to find any good production ones besides the Ibby TBX150H and Randall RG1503, and the RG isn't in stock yet, I believe.

Do you mean to run another amp in tandem with the D100 to fill in the sound stage?

Or, do you want another amp to SWITCH TO besides the D100 for different sounds/tones for changes in songs? example: rhythm to lead and whatnot.

Huh?

Dude...TONS of amps out there. New ones, old ones, modelers... There are SOOOOOO many options compared to when I was starting to play in the late 80's. I'd have killed then for the options out there now. The modeling amps give a person more options than used to be available in an entire STORE!!

Think outside the box.

Understand that some of us SS diehards speak of true all analog (caps/resistors/diodes and IC's only please) amps when someone starts talking Solid State Amps.

Modeling amps are PSU logic/algorithm based...a bit different.

^He gets it. :P

But in terms of modellers, theres the Roland Cube and the Peavey Vypyr. But I'm more partial to Mosfet SS amps like Randalls (excluding the RX series) and the Marshall Lead Mosfet. But I also love SS amps like the older Crates and Ampegs and the Ibby TBX, which aren't Mosfet.

I think you should get another Randall. Like the T2, V2, RH300G3+, or RH150G3+. They can be found for under $500.

Or if you want the full Dimebag experience, a Warhead, Cyclone, Titan, or V-max, preferably the Warhead or Cyclone.

If you can find a Warhead X2, that would be the BEST thing to get, IMO.

The Warhead X2 is VERY rare, I believe. I think only 1000 were made? Not sure if this is a rumor or not.

The Warhead can be found for around $500 - $600. The Cyclone is exactly like the Warhead, just without the onboard FX, and is probably cheaper.

Sell both and get a Randall V2.

Make a rule where, who ever messes up gets punched in the face.

That is how I run my solo project. - Floppystrings

Hehasthosejazzhands... has nailed everything on the head.

There are plenty of old discontinued SS amps to choose from, Randall, Ampeg, Crate, Marshall, etc...

but if I were to buy new and keep it in a reasonable budget, I'd agree and say the new RG1503 would be your best bet indeed

According to the new Randall forums, they're supposed to ship out the middle of this month. $400 street price seems reasonable too!

Oh, if it's just for a Dime sound, find an old Warhead. They are really good amps and can be had fairly cheap. Then head over the to guitars for sale area and buy my upgraded Washburn Dime 333. You'll be in Dime heaven. And also be able to instantly play the solo from "Domination" without even practicing once.
