New KOT

Check out this beauty.

I got her about a week ago. But wanted to take some time to really break her in. To be honest I was a little underwhelmed. But it only took a minute to see the transparency was not something I was entirely use to. Up till now I had used either my Full Drive II or Ts9. They are very classic awesome tube screamer esq pedals. This pedal though seems to bring about a hair of the classic tube screamer sound yet only emphasize the natural characteristics of the amp. Whether that is good or bad is really up to you. But I'm loving it!

I really want to get one, it is a good looking pedal too but it is pricey and I am a cheapskate lately haha. Are you using a SLO btw? I want a soldano too... haha

Funny story about the KOT. I would probably never have gotten one cause they do command a pretty high used price. But funny enough my father got on the wait list like 4-5 years ago and we totally forgot about it till analogman contacted him three weeks ago. Since he already has one, he offered me the spot.

giving up the fulldrive was totally worth it.

I had to google this to figure out what it is. Sounds like a really sweet pedal for low to mid gain tones. Some of the bluesy clips sound especially good. Looks awesome too. Have you tried it with higher gain stuff?

I might have to get on the list for one and see what happens. That's a pretty long wait though.
