Oh fuck, Lisa bought it for you. Andy, I feel sorry for you. I remember how much he abused my Whammy pedal when I brought it over. You will be VERY sick of it soon

I just have a picture of you onstage, dancing like a cross-country skier with a foot on each pedal, E-bow in hand. We should get a talk-box as well, that way you could be doing something useful with every extremity.

On a similar note, I've got a Vox wah-wah pedal that I use all the time (I use it for the intro for one song, for the solo for another song, and for the opening of the verse riff in another song). I don't know why some people hate on whammy pedals and wah-wah pedals so much. Of course, James, you are right that bands like Dragonforce use them way too much and too much of anything is a bad thing. And then there's, of course, Kirk Hammett who ended up reworking all the old songs that didn't have a wah-wah pedal in them to have wah-wah live.
Don't get me wrong, i love the whammy, and love wah pedals, and have a nice weird full shiny vox with extended range on it that I love

In fact, wah pedals are the best effects ever, as they really can add that level of interest to a solo, and expressiveness to anything

Talk box, aye, another effect on the wish list, call me the dancing bear of the guitar world!

...as long as i don't have to operate another effect with the last spare appendage...

Completely agree. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I remember when I first bought my wah pedal about 4 years ago, I said to the drummer for my band at the time, "The great thing about wah-wah pedals is that you can take an unimpressive solo and turn on the wah-wah and suddenly it sounds so dramatic and epic. In fact, you make mistakes when using the wah-wah pedal and no one will notice." and then I played the solo for one of our songs with the wah on and my friend was just like, "Wooah."

Always wanted a whammy pedal too, but I really reduced the amount of pedals I use about 2 years ago (I used to use 2 different distortion pedals, a wah-wah pedal, a delay pedal, a chorus pedal, a flanger pedal, and an effects processor I occasionally used. Now I just use 1 distortion pedal and my Vox wah-wah. I'm thinking of buying a delay pedal soon, but they're just so damn expensive...)

I've got a Whammy pedal. They seemed to have hidden it somewhere in my GNX3000 pedal, though.

That said, I never really use it. I'm sort of an effects minimalist, I guess. Have fun with it, dude. They are whacky.

I have the pitch bend on my GT8 too. Sometimes, when I'm feeling nasty, I'll link the wah and whammy on the pedal at the same time, then turn on the "feedbacker" as well. It's disgusting.

I want a 'feedbacker'!

Ok, I probably don't. But it sounds cool.

Man, speaking of wierd effects, the GNX3K has great SOUNDING effects, but my Magicstomp pedal I use for my acoustic sounds has some freaking CRAZY effects. It has one that makes your guitar sound just like Space Invaders. Then another that is a dead ringer for the intro to 'Wish You Were Here'. Some, I can't even put a name too. Just too damn strange. Thankfully, the acoustic sounds are terrific, but it has a ton of wierd stuff in there, too.

James, I suck for partially derailing your thread. Back to the Whammy!
