Imperium is a jewel in the rough
Blood Drive Pedal

Hey dudes, i'm just checking out the Blood Drive pedal from the guys who make the Coffins cases. Was just wondering if any of you guys have had a chance to use one of these and what you thought about it?

From the specs it seems pretty cool. I would be using this for one of the bands i'm in, think "Misfits, Danzig " with a little bit of a thrash tinge to it.

Its got,

True bypass switching
100% analog circuitry
Rugged die-cast metal construction for years of roadworthiness
Glow-in-the-dark indicators on all knobs - easy to see onstage
Spider web no-skid rubber pad on the bottom
Made in the USA
Shaped like a coffin lol

Cheers guys.

I'm curious too. Saw them in the new Musicians Friend catalog. I wonder if it's an 808 clone?

Wow those look tacky! I'd be embarressed to have something like that on my pedal board. Sorry.

Nik will become famous soon enough
^agreed

If all these guys have done before is making coffin-cases, I wouldn't trust them to provide a good sounding pedal. Going with some established company seems to me like a wiser way to go

I would base my purchases on quality of sounds, rather than looks.

A product review.

I dig they way they look. I love the old school horror theme, it's pretty much how my house is decorated

If they sound good I'd love to add one to my pedal arsenal.

I think it's made by MXR for Coffin Case.

Manufactured in the USA by Dunlop/MXR NEW FROM COFFIN CASE... The Coffin "Blood Drive" Distortion Pedal. IN STORES NOW!
I would have highly doubted a case company would just jump into an entirely different market without some help.

The MXR connection means they probably wanted to get their feet wet and didn't want to do any R&D; just wanted something with their style they could market.
