Not that it requires a 400w cab but that's what you'll be pushing if you had the volume maxed, which you would never do. I never play mine past 4 and it's really effing loud. Also if you find an 8 ohm cab you can run the head at 280w but I think it sounds best at 4 ohms/400w.
I'd say at least get a cab that's 100 to 120w (like at least 2 60w speakers like Vintage 30's) and you should be okay. Most every 4x12 cabinet will be sufficient in wattage, unless you get something really low powered but it wouldn't sound too great that way anyway. |

You will kick major ass with that setup. Do it man
![]() Another thing to think about, I've heard great things about the Swamp Thang / Texas Heat X-pattern combo; which is what I would do if I had the extra cash for a new cab for my T2.

I'm not sure how the wiring works out to give you different ohm inputs and what not but the T2 should be able to handle 4, 8 or 16 ohms, but will run at less wattage as you go up (you want the most wattage for cleanest headroom, tightest lows etc.) Also don't think you need less wattage for lower volumes... the T2 handles that well already even at 400w...
Just be sure to set the ohms on the cab in mono as well. |
