Im tired of my solid state I want a tube head ,need help finding a good tube amp

should I get a cheaper preamp, like the damage control, demonizer
damagecontrolusa.com or a real tube head and what would be a decent tube amp that's most affordable I got like 700 bux im open to ideas so please if you got any dont be shy. and oh yeah i play from tool to meshuggah kinda of style and what kinda fuckin head does meshuggah use to get that killer distortion tone. thanx.

Hey, welcome BTW!

Go over to RB, to the Carvin factory, and try out some of those badboys, like the Legacy or V-3. It's a good place to start!

Mesuggah use Line6 Vetta's direct into the board. I good secondhand tube head is a good option, try searching Ebay to see what's in your range.

I love double rectos but u cant buy one with $700 buxx

so have u guys heard the demonizer pedal?? tell me if it actually sounds like a guitar head ?

Ask Jerich if he has any sound samples, other than the shitty ones on their website. He's endorsed.

I think they have the potential to be cool, but their samples on the site just suck. I played the Solid Metal, which is the Demonizer without the compressor and direct recording, and it was pretty cool. Quite warm.

You could get a ValveKing for $450, then put a Demonizer in front of it, and get the cleans and gain from that, then have the option of the Demonizer. Almost like having three channels.

Madison Divinity. They're the definition of tight and brutal. Voiced very similar to a dual rectifier but quite a bit tighter. They go anywhere from $400-$800 on ebay, you have to check often to find the deals.
