Oh the Irony(sort of)

I was playing around with my Vetta tonight and finally got a direct tone for recording(and overall amp tone) that I really dig. It's the 5150 model(Mississippi Criminal). I found it amusing that an actual 5150 costs waaaaayyyyy less than a Vetta.
Oh well.

Sorry, this is probably the most pointless thing I have ever posted.

Only if you don't count the cost of servicing, replacement tubes, microphones and a good room.

I can re-download the software for free so...

It's just a matter of hooking up the midi to my comp, fire up the Vetta and open the line 6 updating software. Takes about 10 minutes. It hasn't happened to me yet but when I up[graded the software yu have to wipe out the whole operating system on it. And for a few minutes, you have a $1700 paper weight.

I thought the 5150 model in the Vetta to be one of the best models in it. I've had 5150's before and it was very easy to get the Vetta to sound just like it. The 5150 NEEDS to be absolutely cranking though to sound good.

It does sound good. I really dig the Triple rectifier one and the Diezel.

I don't have a Vetta so I don't know how different the personalities of the models are, but on my PODxt the Soldano SLO model is the freaking shiznit.

...so wait, there's an operating system on your amp?

winblows, linux, or other?

can you play minesweeper on it?

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.
