Garry goodman string review

This was my first time ever putting on strings on a Floyd rose system and even while it took some time, it did work out fine.

The first thing I noticed was that the tone was kinda weak and thin, but someone suggested that I should raise the neck pickup and that took care of it.
It has a wonderful tone and it feels nice, I can defiantly see myself buying a set of these. In fact I just ordered more strings from Garry.
I had no problem getting the string to tune and really no problem handling it either.
When going down the neck, around the 17 fret you’ll reach those high notes that you can’t reach on a normal guitar, things get scary, exciting and darn right fun. Playing harmonics is also an adventure and I think that the strings produce the overtones just as well as other strings do.

When I first got the strings I wanted the guy from the local shop to help me out, but he refused because he thought that it would be too much work, but since I, as a total beginner, was able to get good intonation and a nice string height, I could testify that it is no more trouble then any other kind of string. In fact the only real problem with them I’ve hade is to get them out of the tape they came in.

Y'know, my dad and I were talking about building our own sevenstring next summer, and now I'm kinda tempted to go for a high A string with a detuner key...

Nothing like a good depressant to chase the blues away!

Garry's strings are pretty durable. Mine is still in tact and I abused it a bit. I even had someone else abuse it too and it's stayed in tune since it stretched out, but it took a little while to stretch.

I'd love to see them become commercially available. I can't imagine a ten string without one.

Yeah, definitely. From what I've heard, these could be a definite improvement in guitar technology (god, that sounds so pretentious, lol!).

Garry, assuming these are available commercially at some point, would they cost significantly more than say a pack of Ernie Balls?
