Ashdown Fallen Angel

Anyone here ever tried one of those Ashdown?
Are they good amps?
How do they sound?

Yeah, saw that.

I'm wondering if anyone tried one since.
They seem to be cool amps, but no one speaks of them.

I'm also wondering about the all-tubes combos.

All I know is various bass playing friends opinions of Ashdown, or as they know them 'Crashdown'. Apparently, a general rule of thumb is that Ashdown gear will spend 50% of the time you own it in a repair shop.

Don't know how the guitar gear stands up though.

As above, a friend of mine bought a Fallen Angel combo, and he had to bring it back to the shop 3 times in the space of a month before finally he wanted his money back instead.

The concept is something i always thought was cool - take a tube amp and put all the effects and stuff on there..

Too bad it didnt work out.

Line 6 should make an all tube amp.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Yeah, they should.
Not much options out there beside the Valveking for an all-tube combo.

Recently tried the new Kustom HV (tubepre-amp, ss output).
Cool amp but it really lacks gain... Not for me
